The materials progress to encourage composing of longer phrases and accompaniments, and from creating sequences to an understanding of simple musical form. Throughout, there are tips for visiting musicians such as peripatetic teachers to support generalist class teachers. In this way the materials promote the concept of liaison between musicians and schools.
